Part 1 question: Do you have a favorite flower?

  • consciously thought of having a favorite flower
  • what is before me is beautiful
  • roses are basic
  • gardenias

Basic‘ is a super trendy adjective right now, meaning mainstream, boring, average.

Part 1 question: When do people give each other flowers in your culture?

  • The first thing that comes to mind…
  • occasions, achievements, birthdays
  • implement flowers into celebrations

As Lindsay used ‘implement‘ in her answer, this is a great reminder that you can still use formal, or high-level words, in Part 1, especially adjectives.
