Jessica describes how people in Portland are outdoorsy, so locals and tourists alike enjoy hiking. She uses these interesting phrases:

  • Portland, to be honest, is a very outdoorsy…
  • She uses the idiom “head for the hills”, which means to escape, but Jessica uses it more literally in her answer.
    • A good example of this would that some Americans are talking about “heading for the hills”, as they are afraid of living in a country with Donald Trump as president.
