Lindsay McMahon
"The English Adventurer"

Today you’ll meet our special guest Yumiko who was a participant in our Native English Power Weekend last year in Japan.

You’ll find out how the program made her confident while speaking with native speakers.

Last week we interviewed Akiko about her experience in the Tokyo program and this week we are honored to have Yumiko on the show.

Tickets are now available for the Native English Power Weekend in Tokyo May 24-26, 2019. Go here to get your ticket. Spots are limited.

What did Yumiko like about the program?

Yumiko was a Kizuna level student so she was able to participate in many activities within the program.

She loved the fact that the program allowed her to immerse herself 100% into English.

She felt supported but also challenged in the program.

She enjoyed the native English speed dating activity because she got to speak with every native speaker. She also liked the telephone practice that we did in the morning immersion course.

What is Yumiko’s message for other students?

“Don’t be afraid to try new things.”

“If you jump in you can get something pressure from the experience.”

“Sometimes when it comes to learning English, failure is the best lesson.”
